Planning for Major Infrastructure Projects under the New Regime
Date: 24/5/2012
Organiser: The Waterfront Conference Company
Venue: Bircham Dyson Bell, central London
Outline: This event will provide a guide to the new regime, and reveal what the changes mean for infrastructure projects looking to gain planning consent. In an effort to remove the barriers to infrastructure delivery, the planning regime is being altered through the Localism Act and the NPPF. Policies at regional and national level are being stripped away, whilst a new tier of neighbourhood plans is being developed. The still relatively untested IPC regime has already seen major changes with the final decision now going back to the Secretary of State.
