The future of planning and the impact of the National Planning Policy Framework
Date: 26/4/2012
Organiser: Westminster Energy, Environment and Transport Forum
Venue: Central London
Introduction: As the Government seeks to make the planning system more accessible and less complex, this seminar will be a timely opportunity to assess the next steps for policy following the consultation on the new National Planning Policy Framework. Discussion will focus on the key features of the streamlined framework - including the potential implications of pledges to give new freedoms and flexibilities to local government, to make the planning system more democratic and to ensure that decisions regarding housing are taken locally - as the Government seeks to promote its 'localism agenda'.
