The Society, in association with Woking BC, set in train a project for a supported learning group whose members explore different aspects of planning for climate change at a practical level, and explore how policies can be developed which are effective and readily applied in relation to development proposals. Eleven authorities participated in year 1 with PAS also in attendance; ten authorities took part in year 2. A third year, supported by BRE, is currently in progress. Prospects for a follow-on fourth year will be canvassed later in 2012.
