8 Week Consultation Period for Proposed Changes to Permitted Development Rights Welcomed by POS

Date: 15/10/2012

In the House of Commons Communities and Local Governement Committee today Planning Minister Nick Boles announced an eight week period for consultation on the proposed changes to permitted development rights. Mark Prisk, Housing Minister, indicated that a consultation programme for all proposed changes would be issued.

John Silvester, Society Spokesperson, said this was welcomed by the Society as it would enable structured comment on the proposals to be submitted; "we can now formally point out to Ministers some of the many serious implications of these proposals" he added.
