No Surprises in Draft CIL Regulations, But What Next? Says POS

Date: 17/10/2012

DCLG have published draft regulations that aim to tidy up a number of errors (in the calculation formula) and unintended consequences (amending the regs for s73 applications so that developers don't have to pay twice if an amendment involves issuing a new decision for the same development).

Graham Jones, Society Vice-President Emeritus and Convenor of the CIL & Infrastructure Planning Topic Forum, said "these are generally welcomed and there are no surprises; but we're more interested in the outcome of the neighbourhood contributions consultation (which has been delayed until the new year) and any likley change of tack as a result of development industry lobying."
