POS Responds to Pickles Remarks on the Possible Merger of Planning Departments

Eric Pickles highlighted at the Conservative Party conference  the possible merger of planning departments.

John Silvester, Spokesperson for POS, told Planning magazine "POS recognises the imperative to reduce costs and yet retain effective public services; we are also aware that the Goverment does not intend to issue any practice guidance. That is why the Society is in the process of preparing a range of good practice guidance, including one on shared services".
