In January 2004 CIPFA launched its TISonline service - more than 30 information streams covering the functions and services of public authorities - available at www.tisonline.net. The editorial board of one of these streams, TIS Planning, is currently seeking new members to contribute towards the updating of the existing web content. Planners from all backgrounds and grades are welcome, especially those with experience of the planning systems in Wales and Scotland.
All Tisonline content is produced and updated by editorial boards of practitioners, who contribute on a voluntary basis. Members hold regular meetings to discuss the needs of the website, and take responsibility for ensuring existing content is up to date. Contributions to TISonline can be on a full or occasional basis, but all work with the editorial boards qualifies for CPD hours, and provide an opportunity for members to meet with other practitioners
