PLANNING OFFICERS SOCIETY RAISES FURTHER CONCERNS OVER PPS3

In a statement issued today the POS raised further concerns over the new policy guidance on housing.

POS President Hilary Herbert declared that “I am very concerned that complying with PPS3 could well mean a new DPD is undermined or delayed. I would advocate that plans should not stop being progressed but that the PPS3 requirements should be picked up by an immediate review.”

The Society Housing Task Group co-chair Geoff Cross indicated that “there is a real prospect that the delivery of affordable housing will be seriously prejudiced.”

The Society promised to raise these and previous concerns with the DCLG at the earliest opportunity.
