POS DOUBTS SUSTAINABILITY OF ECO-TOWNS PROCESS

The announcement of a shortlist of 15 eco-towns and that a penel of experts is to assess  which ones can proceed direct to planning applications has attracted  the concern of the Planning Officers Society.

"By leap-frgging the devleopment plan process sustainability objectives may be overlooked and the public excluded all for the sake of expediency", says POS Spokesperson John Silvester.
