POS PRESIDENT TAKES UP ROLE AS CLG'S CHIEF PLANNER

Steve Quartermain, Strategic Director of Hambleton DC, will take up the reins as the Government's new Chief Planner in August 2008, shortly after he steps down as President of POS at the AGM in July.

Society Spokesperson John Silvester said "We al all very proud of the sterling work undertaken by Steve to boost the image and effectiveness of the Planning Officers Society; this, together with his outstanding work at Hambleton, has obviously paid off."
