Housing Our Ageing Population: Panel for Innovation
A new report by a panel set up by the HCA with support from Government departments has recommended that the design and development of new homes for older people must become a national priority if the UK is to avoid a future housing crisis. The panel stressed that LDFs could play a key role in identifying suitable sites and that LPAs should consider developing SPDs for housing for older people and encourage its provision through S106 Agreements.
