What does it do?
The Management and Performance Committee identifies best practice in delivering high quality, high performing planning services. We respond to Government consultations and keep up-to-date with the Government's performance management regime, forging strong links with Communities and Local Government and the Audit Commission on:
- Comprehensive Area Assessment
- Housing and Planning Delivery Grant
- Local Strategic Partnerships, Local Area Agreements and Multi-Area Agreements
- Improvement and Efficiency Partnerships
The Committee works with the:
- Planning Advisory Service to develop and disseminate excellence in planning services
- Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) and Planning Schools on learning and development
- Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) on Planning and Development Benchmarking statistics
The Committee takes an interest in quality management systems and approaches and you can find more information on these by following these links:
