Greater Flexibility for Planning Permissions Consultation

In response to the specific questions raised in the Consultation the society's comments are:

Extension of time limits

Question 1 - Do you agree that extensions of the time limits for implementing existing planning permissions for major schemes should be permitted for a temporary period?

The indication from our members in local planning authorities is that this is not a major issue in holding up major development projects.  The Society question the assumption in the consultation that if planning permissions lapse this will delay economic recovery.
