“When we build again – laying the foundations”

The seminar will commence at 10.00am with registration and coffee available from 9.30am and includes lunch with a guest speaker that is scheduled to close at approx 3.00pm

The annual seminar will take the form of contributions from a panel of guest speakers and this year’s theme is "When we build again - laying the foundations".  The programme will focus on the work that needs to be done by planners during the "credit crunch" period to position themselves to move speedily and efficiently to facilitate development when the national financial situation improves.

Confirmed speakers include Sarah Richards of the Planning Advisory Service and Steve Quartermain, Chief Planner at CLG.  Topics covered will include

• a look at Infrastructure Strategies and the development of CILs
• moving forward from a sound Core Strategy
• housebuilding and the challenge of sustainability
• Tomorrow’s Planners
