Chair Development Management Network
Bob is a chartered town planner with over 40 years’ experience in local government at the London Borough of Waltham Forest of which 17 years was as a chief officer. He was a founder member of the Planning Officers Society and has been Chair of the Development Management Network since POS was set up. Having left local government, he set up as a sole practitioner planning consultant and for many years has worked for the London Borough of Tower Hamlets as the lead project manager on Crossrail, Thames Tideway Tunnel and more recently the Silvertown Tunnel. From time to time Bob also provides a consultancy service to developers which provides a useful insight into Local Authority’s development management service from the perspective of a user of the service.
