Karen Shaw is Local Plans Manager at Nottingham City Council, Secretary for the Planning Officers’ Society Spatial Planning Network and is also a Director for POS Enterprises.

Karen is a Chartered Town Planner and has over 20 years’ experience working in the public and private sectors in planning. In her current role she is responsible for preparing the Local Plan for Nottingham City and working with the partner authorities in the Greater Nottingham to develop a Spatial Plan covering the whole conurbation. Her experience has seen her involved in a broad range of complex and challenging planning issues covering plan preparation, housing, retail, heritage and site allocation matters.
