Effective consultation on major sites

Large scale sites require a different approach to engagement - deeper, earlier, and more strategic.  This lunchtime session will be led by Hyas Associates and will focus on giving local authority teams practical tools to shape and strengthen consultation on significant projects, from early site-specific engagement through to Reg 18/19 and into a robust Planning Performance Agreement (PPA).

The session will focus on:

• how to approach consultation on major sites as a strategic tool
• techniques for early engagement that build shared understanding and reduce risk
• how to handle site-specific engagement ahead of Reg 18/19
• using consultation outputs to support and justify a PPA
• real examples of what makes engagement genuinely effective
