POS Development Management

The Development Management Network aims to create a forum and focus for DM specialists and practitioners across local government. The network encourages an exchange of views, good practice and practical experience, as well as updating members on the latest relevant initiatives from POS and consultation documents from government. The forum also provides the opportunity for DM planning officers to feed their views into government via POS. 

Meetings

Usually we hold four meetings each year. Two conference style events held jointly with the  Spatial Planning Network at which key speakers from Local Authorities and Government bodies are invited to speak on the planning issues of the day which act as an update on the national issues facing local government planners and an opportunity to share views. This is supplemented by at least two roundtable style meetings, hosted by local authorities across the country, that are more focussed discussions on topical DM issues, often with a local or regional flavour.
